George Kittle SF TE
49ers' George Kittle: Quiet game as teammates shine
2h agoKittle caught three of his five targets for 19 yards in Thursday's 31-13 win over the Seahawks.
Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey handled all of the scoring in Thursday's holiday victory, barely leaving any leftovers for San Francisco's remaining star on offense. Kittle is prone to these sporadic stinkers when the 49ers are operating at full strength, which has resulted in four games with less than 20 receiving yards this season. However, the unselfish superstar's recent four-game hot streak -- where he averaged 6.3 receptions and 108.0 yards -- is why managers should tolerate the occasional down game from the charismatic tight end. Kittle has responded with big receiving games following his previous two duds, and the 49ers may need him to repeat the feat against the Eagles on Dec. 2 in order to secure victory.

Brandon Aiyuk SF WR
49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Makes most of two receptions
2h agoAiyuk had two receptions on four targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 31-13 win over the Seahawks.
Aiyuk's two catches finished as his lowest total through 10 active games this season, but the YAC monster still generated strong fantasy value despite Thursday's depressed usage. The 25-year-old has produced at least 50 receiving yards and a touchdown in each of San Francisco's three games since returning from a bye. Aiyuk now sits 69 yards away from recording his second consecutive 1,000-yard season, but he will have to earn every one against Philadelphia's tough defense when the two NFC powerhouses meet Dec. 2.

Brock Purdy SF QB
49ers' Brock Purdy: Overcomes pick six for win
3h agoPurdy completed 21 of 30 pass attempts for 209 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Thursday's 31-13 win over the Seahawks.
Purdy's only notable miscue from another solid performance came on his second attempt of the second half when he threw an interception that was taken back for Seattle's only touchdown of the evening. The 23-year-old was not fazed by his -- at the time -- potentially game-altering mistake, responding with a 28-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Aiyuk later in the half that put the Seahawks away for good. Purdy finished with an efficient passing performance that lacked the flash of some of his recent fantasy lines. The sophomore starter is still producing at a high level with 838 passing yards and seven touchdowns while completing 75 percent of his passes in three outings since returning from the bye. Purdy will both physically and mentally prepare for next week's road tilt against the Eagles, which will be the first time the quarterback will face Philadelphia since severely injuring his elbow and taking a loss in last year's NFC Championship Game.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba SEA WR
Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Team-high yardage tally Thursday
3h agoSmith-Njigba brought in two of three targets for 41 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday.
The rookie led the Seahawks in receiving yards despite a relatively modest total, with that feat largely accomplished via a game-long 34-yard one-handed grab down the right sideline early in the third quarter. Smith-Njigba now has a streak of four games with 40+ receiving yards, one he'll look to extend in a Week 13 Thursday night road matchup versus the Cowboys.
-
Zach Charbonnet SEA RB
Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Inefficient in starting assignment
3h agoCharbonnet rushed 14 times for 47 yards and secured all four targets for 11 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday.
The rookie got the starting call as expected with Kenneth Walker (oblique) sidelined and unsurprisingly found efficiency hard to come by against an aggressive 49ers defense. Charbonnet's longest run went for a modest 10 yards, and seven of his 11 receiving yards came on one catch. With Seattle having just a standard seven-day period between games ahead a Week 13 Thursday night road battle versus the Cowboys, there's a possibility Walker still isn't healthy enough to suit up against Dallas.
-
Deebo Samuel SF WR
49ers' Deebo Samuel: Scores third rushing TD of 2023
3h agoSamuel caught seven of nine targets for 79 yards while adding 15 yards and a touchdown on four carries in Thursday's 31-13 win over Seattle.
Samuel literally hit the ground running on his first carry when he took a designed run untouched from two yards out to give San Francisco a lead it would never vanquish. The dual-threat superstar then proceeded to lead his team in receiving en route to a healthy fantasy score for managers to close out Thursday's action. Deebo is now averaging 71.7 combined yards with two rushing scores in three games since returning from both his injury layoff and San Francisco's Week 9 bye. Samuel should remain busy in Week 13 when the 49ers look to exact revenge on the Eagles from last year's loss in the NFC Championship Games on Dec. 2.

Ryan Jensen SEA RP
Mariners' Ryan Jensen: Dropped from 40-man roster
2d agoJensen was designated for assignment by the Mariners on Wednesday.
Seattle had to free up a 40-man roster spot after acquiring both Seby Zavala and Carlos Vargas from the Diamondbacks on Wednesday in exchange for Eugenio Suarez. Jensen, 25, struggled to a 5.32 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 64.1 innings of work this past year between Double-A and Triple-A. He's yet to appear in a major-league game.
-
Luis Urias BOS 2B
Mariners' Luis Urias: In line for third base job
2d agoUrias is currently projected as the Mariners' starting third baseman following their trade of Eugenio Suarez, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Seattle acquired Urias from Boston last week and he's now at the top of the team's depth chart at third base, although it's possible the Mariners bring someone else in at the position this offseason. Urias had a dreadful 2023, posting just a .636 OPS with three homers in 52 games while spending a chunk of the year in the minors. He looked like a solid regular a couple years ago, though, and is just 26 years of age.
-
Carlos Vargas ARI RP
Mariners' Carlos Vargas: Acquired by Mariners
2d agoThe Mariners acquired Vargas and Seby Zavala from the Diamondbacks in exchange for Eugenio Suarez on Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Vargas posted a 5.79 ERA and 7:4 K:BB over 4.2 innings with Arizona and a 7.02 ERA and 36:32 K:BB across 42.1 frames at Triple-A Reno in 2023. While the control problems are worrisome, Vargas has a huge arm and could develop into a late-inning weapon if he can throw enough strikes.
-
Eugenio Suarez SEA 3B
Diamondbacks' Eugenio Suarez: Lands with Diamondbacks
2d agoThe Diamondbacks acquired Suarez from the Mariners on Wednesday in exchange for Seby Zavala and Carlos Vargas, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Suarez stumbled to a .232/.323/.391 batting line this season in Seattle, although he did hit 22 home runs and drive in 96 runs. The 32-year-old is owed $11.3 million in 2024 and has a $15 million club option (or $2 million buyout) for 2025. Suarez should provide more stability at a third base spot which was a revolving door for Arizona in 2023.
-
Seby Zavala ARI C
Mariners' Seby Zavala: Headed to Seattle
2d agoThe Mariners acquired Zavala from the Diamondbacks on Wednesday along with Carlos Vargas in exchange for Eugenio Suarez, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
Zavala was a waiver claim by the Diamondbacks in September but made just four starts during his three and a half weeks with the team. The 30-year-old catcher has a career .622 OPS over parts of four major-league seasons spent mostly with the White Sox. He could open 2024 as Cal Raleigh's backup.
-
Chadwick Tromp ATL C
Braves' Chadwick Tromp: Back with Atlanta
2d agoAtlanta re-signed Tromp to a minor-league contract Wednesday.
Tromp was non-tendered by Atlanta last week but will return to the organization. The 28-year-old catcher has put up a .640 OPS with five home runs over 102 plate appearances at the major-league level. He'll likely begin 2024 at Triple-A Gwinnett.

Gary Payton II GS PG
Warriors' Gary Payton: Probable for Friday
7h agoPayton (foot) is probable for Friday's game against the Spurs.
Payton missed the last three games for the Warriors due to a foot sprain, but he's expected to return Friday which could give the Warriors a spark on the defensive end. Despite seeing just 17.3 minutes per game, Payton is averaging 1.2 steals.
-
Victor Oladipo HOU SG
Rockets' Victor Oladipo: Out again Friday
8h agoOladipo will not play in Friday's game against the Nuggets.
Oladipo has yet to appear in any games this season and remains without an official timetable to return. He should be considered doubtful for Tuesday's game against Dallas.
-
Ryan Rollins WAS SG
Wizards' Ryan Rollins: Ruled out Friday
8h agoRollins (knee) will not play in Friday's game against the Bucks.
Rollins is usually a fringe rotation player for the Wizards, so his absence doesn't have many fantasy implications.
-
Wendell Carter Jr. ORL C
Magic's Wendell Carter: Won't play Friday
8h agoCarter (finger) is out for Friday's game against the Celtics.
Not much of a surprise here, as Carter is getting closer to the three-week timeline to be reevaluated after suffering a fractured third metacarpal on his left hand earlier this month. His next chance to feature will come against the Hornets on Sunday, but his chances of actually featuring in that matchup are slim.
-
Norman Powell LAC SG
Clippers' Norman Powell: Questionable for Friday
8h agoPowell (groin) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pelicans.
Powell is day-to-day due to some soreness in his right groin. If he's unable to suit up Friday, Russell Westbrook could have a larger role and Amir Coffey could get a rare opportunity to step up.
-
Colby Jones SAC SG
Kings' Colby Jones: Questionable to play
8h agoJones is questionable for Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to left hip soreness.
Jones is just a fringe rotation player for the Kings, so his status won't have many fantasy implications. Jones has averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 8.6 minutes across eight appearances this season.
-
Cayden Primeau MON G
Canadiens' Cayden Primeau: Guarding road net Friday
10h agoPrimeau is expected to start on the road against San Jose on Friday.
Primeau has a 1-2-0 record, 3.98 GAA and .885 save percentage in three contests this season. He surrendered six goals on 42 shots in a 6-5 loss to Vegas in his previous start last Thursday. The Sharks, who rank last offensively with 1.47 goals per game, are likely to give Primeau less trouble.
-
Andrew Poturalski SEA C
Kraken's Andrew Poturalski: Returns to minors
11h agoPoturalski was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Thursday, per CapFriendly.
Seattle was called up by Seattle on Nov. 14, but he didn't end up playing for the Kraken. He has two goals and seven points in 10 contests with Coachella Valley this season.
-
Tobias Bjornfot LA D
Kings' Tobias Bjornfot: Injury not major
12h agoBjornfot's undisclosed injury is "thankfully nothing major," AHL Ontario coach Marco Sturm told Jared Shafran of LA Kings Insider on Thursday.
Bjornfot was with Ontario on a conditioning loan when he was stretchered off the ice during a game Tuesday. The Kings placed him on injured reserve Wednesday. Sturm noted that Bjornfot won't be ready to play this weekend, but the 22-year-old defenseman should be available soon.
-
Alex Steeves TOR LW
Maple Leafs' Alex Steeves: Up from AHL
13h agoSteeves was summoned by Toronto on Thursday.
Steeves has 11 goals and 18 points in 14 games with AHL Toronto this season. The 23-year-old might get a chance to play with the big club Friday versus Chicago, though it likely would be in a bottom-six capacity.
-
John Klingberg TOR D
Maple Leafs' John Klingberg: Put on LTIR
13h agoKlingberg (undisclosed) was placed on the long-term injured reserve list Thursday.
The move is presumably retroactive to Nov. 11, which is when Klingberg last played. If that's the case, the earliest he can be activated is Dec. 12 for Toronto's game against the Rangers. Klingberg has five assists, 11 hits and 14 blocks in 14 contests this campaign. Conor Timmins (lower body) is day-to-day at this point, so the defenseman might be activated off LTIR soon and play regularly while Klingberg is unavailable.
-
Matt Tomkins TB G
Lightning's Matt Tomkins: On waiver wire Thursday
14h agoThe Lightning placed Tomkins on waivers Thursday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.
This is great news for Andrei Vasilevskiy (back surgery) and his fantasy managers as he is expected to return to action Friday versus Carolina or Monday in Colorado. Tomkins was 1-2-0, giving up 10 goals on 90 shots in his three appearances. He will be returned to AHL Syracuse, should he pass through waivers.
