  • Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Team-high yardage tally Thursday

Smith-Njigba brought in two of three targets for 41 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday.

The rookie led the Seahawks in receiving yards despite a relatively modest total, with that feat largely accomplished via a game-long 34-yard one-handed grab down the right sideline early in the third quarter. Smith-Njigba now has a streak of four games with 40+ receiving yards, one he'll look to extend in a Week 13 Thursday night road matchup versus the Cowboys.

  • Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Inefficient in starting assignment

Charbonnet rushed 14 times for 47 yards and secured all four targets for 11 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday.

The rookie got the starting call as expected with Kenneth Walker (oblique) sidelined and unsurprisingly found efficiency hard to come by against an aggressive 49ers defense. Charbonnet's longest run went for a modest 10 yards, and seven of his 11 receiving yards came on one catch. With Seattle having just a standard seven-day period between games ahead a Week 13 Thursday night road battle versus the Cowboys, there's a possibility Walker still isn't healthy enough to suit up against Dallas.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Quiet night in Week 12 loss

Lockett secured three of five targets for 30 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday.

Lockett tied DK Metcalf with the team lead in receptions while checking in second in targets. The speedy veteran also had the ball taken from him by the 49ers' Ambry Thomas for Geno Smith's one interception of the night, and his yardage total was his lowest since Week 1. It doesn't get any easier for the Seahawks offense in Week 13, as they face the Cowboys on the road in a Thursday night matchup.

  • Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Limited to three catches in loss

Metcalf secured three of nine targets for 32 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday.

Metcalf paced the Seahawks in targets on the night while sharing the lead in receptions with Tyler Lockett. The big-bodied wideout was a victim of Geno Smith's underwhelming night against the 49ers' suffocating defense, with Metcalf's yardage tally also serving as a season-low total. Metcalf and the rest of the Seahawks offense face a second straight tough defense when they tangle with the Cowboys on the road in a Week 13 Thursday night showdown.

  • Seahawks' Geno Smith: Struggles in tough matchup

Smith (elbow) completed 18 of 27 passes for 180 yards with no touchdowns and one interception and added four rushes for 21 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday night.

Smith was able to play through his triceps contusion but put up unsurprisingly underwhelming numbers against the suffocating 49ers defense. Smith was relatively efficient overall, but he took six sacks and was only able to connect with top targets DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett a combined six times for 62 yards. The veteran signal-caller saw his streak of games with a touchdown pass end at two games, and Thursday marked his fourth sub-200-yard tally of the campaign. Smith's arm should be healthier for a Week 13 road matchup against the Cowboys next Thursday night.

  • Seahawks' Dareke Young: Inactive Thursday

Young (abdomen) is listed as inactive for Thursday's game against the 49ers.

No surprise here, as Young was listed as doubtful heading into the evening. His absence will mark his second straight game missed. In his absence, Dee Eskridge could see some extra snaps as a depth receiver.

  • Seahawks' Geno Smith: Active in Week 12

Smith (elbow) is listed as active Thursday versus the 49ers.

During this past Sunday's loss at the Rams, Smith missed the final snap of the third quarter and most of the fourth quarter due to a right elbow injury. The official diagnosis was revealed to be a bruise to the tendon on the bottom of his right triceps by coach Pete Carroll on Monday, and Smith proceeded to be listed as DNP/LP/FP during Week 12 prep. Carroll relayed to Colin Gunther of the Seahawks' official site Wednesday that Smith was "ready to go" for Thursday's game, and now that has been confirmed. Smith thus will take aim at San Francisco's 15th-ranked pass defense (221.4 yards per game).

  • Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Officially inactive Thursday

Walker (oblique) is inactive for Thursday's game against the 49ers.

Walker seemed likely to miss at least one contest due to the strained oblique that he suffered this past Sunday versus the Rams after being listed as a DNP on all three of the Seahawks' Week 12 practice reports. However, coach Pete Carroll told Colin Gunther of the team's official site Wednesday that Walker received a doubtful designation "because you never know." It may not mean Walker has a chance to return next Thursday night at Dallas, but his status will continue to be monitored to see how realistic that may be. With Walker sidelined, Zach Charbonnet will pace Seattle's backfield, while DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh will be the reserve options.

  • Seahawks' Jerrick Reed: Moves to IR

Reed (knee) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Reed's move to IR shouldn't come as a surprise after he suffered a torn ACL in Sunday's loss to the Rams. He'll now focus on his recovery and making a return during the 2024 campaign.

  • Seahawks' Coby Bryant: Joins active roster

Bryant (toe) was activated from injured reserve Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Bryant has been practicing with the team and will be eligible to suit up Thursday against the 49ers. Assuming he returns, it should be a boost to Seattle's secondary.

  • Seahawks' Brett Rypien: Bumped up from practice squad

Rypien was elevated from the Seahawks' practice squad Thursday ahead of their game against the 49ers, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Rypien could still find himself inactive if Geno Smith (elbow) is able to play. However, the Boise State product's elevation will give Seattle some security at the position in case Smith is unable to suit up. Rypien signed with Seattle's practice squad Nov. 10 after he was cut by the Rams on Nov. 7.
