  • Cowboys' Brandin Cooks: Finds end zone again Thursday

Cooks caught four of five targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 45-10 rout of the Commanders.

Despite the low target volume, Cooks led the Cowboys in receiving yards as Dak Prescott spread the ball around and completed passes to 10 different players. The veteran speedster was also on the end of the second of four Prescott TD passes on the day, a 31-yard toss in the second quarter on which a wide-open Cooks didn't seem to have a defender within five yards of him. After a slow start to his Dallas tenure, he's found the end zone four times in the last six games, although his Thanksgiving performance was only the second time all year he's topped 50 receiving yards. Cooks will look to keep rolling in Week 13 against the Seahawks.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Hauls in TD in Thanksgiving rout

Lamb caught four of nine targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 45-10 win over the Commanders. He added a two-point conversion.

The wideout had trouble connecting with Dak Prescott early in the game, and Lamb was overthrown on what could have been a walk-in TD on the Cowboys' first possession. The QB made it up to him in the second half though, and Lamb hauled in a 15-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, plus the subsequent two-point conversions attempt, as Dallas pulled away late. Lamb has scored six TDs in five games since the team's bye while amassing 44 catches for 591 yards on 62 targets over that stretch, and he figures to be productive again in Week 13 against the Seahawks.

  • Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Big day in big win

Pollard carried the ball 13 times for 79 yards and a touchdown and caught all six of his targets for 24 yards in Thursday's 45-10 rout of the Commanders.

The running back was fairly quiet through the first half. but Pollard churned out a seven-yard TD run right before halftime and then began to pile up some yardage as the Cowboys put the game away. It's the first time in five games since Dallas' bye that the running back has topped 100 scrimmage yards, while the touchdown was his second in as many games and fourth of the year. Pollard hasn't had the huge breakout projected for him in the wake of Ezekiel Elliott's departure, but he still has time to put together a big finish to 2023, with a Week 13 home tilt against a vulnerable Seahawks run defense next on the schedule.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Paces Thanksgiving win

Prescott completed 22 of 32 passes for 331 yards and four touchdowns in Thursday's 45-10 rout of the Commanders.

He added 10 rushing yards on his only carry. Prescott spread the ball around almost at will against an overmatched Washington defense, completing passes to 10 different receivers and blowing the game open in the fourth quarter with a 15-yard TD strike to CeeDee Lamb and a 34-yard toss to KaVontae Turpin. Prescott has been the hottest QB in the league since the Cowboys' Week 7 bye, and over the last five weeks he's posted a 17:2 TD:INT while averaging 320.4 passing yards a game with a 70.5 percent completion rate and an 8.9 YPA. He'll look to keep rolling at home in Week 13 against the Seahawks.

  • Cowboys' Jayron Kearse: Inactive Thursday

Kearse (back) will not play in Thursday's Thanksgiving matchup with Washington, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Kearse was a non-participant at practice throughout the week, rendering this result unsurprising. In his absence, look for Israel Mukuamu to fill in at strong safety.

  • Cowboys' Deuce Vaughn: Won't play Sunday

Vaughn (coach's decision) is inactive Thursday against the Commanders, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Vaughn will take a seat again in Week 12, as Rico Dowdle (ankle) will play against Washington. The former's next chance to play will be Week 13 against the Seahawks.

  • Cowboys' Trey Lance: Will serve emergency role

Lance (coach's decision) is inactive, but he will serve as the team's emergency No. 3 quarterback against Washington on Thursday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

It's a familiar role for Lance, who remains behind Cooper Rush as the team's top backup to Dak Prescott. Lance will only be eligible to play if both quarterbacks get injured in Thursday's contest against the Commanders.

  • Cowboys' Rico Dowdle: Suiting up in Week 12

Dowdle (ankle) is listed as active Thursday against the Commanders, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Dowdle followed up DNPs on the Cowboys' first two Week 12 practice reports due to an ankle injury with a limited listing Wednesday, which gave the team enough confidence that he'll be able to hold up during Thursday's contest. Tony Pollard is Dallas' clear-cut top running back, but Dowdle has had an elevated role the last two games, turning 22 touches into 99 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD.
