  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Slides power-play helper

Bouchard recorded a power-play assist, three shots on goal, three blocked shots and two PIM in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes. Bouchard has a goal and five helpers during his active four-game point streak. He's also gone minus-3 in that span, and his struggles defensively have not helped as the Oilers continue to flounder low in the standings. The 24-year-old blueliner is at 18 points (eight on the power play), 57 shots on net, 28 blocked shots and a mius-8 rating through 18 outings.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Notches assist in loss

Bouchard posted an assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 5-3 loss to the Panthers. Bouchard helped out on Connor McDavid's first-period marker. With a goal and six helpers over the last six games, Bouchard remains productive from the blue line, at least in the offensive zone. He's at 17 points (seven on the power play), 54 shots on net, 25 blocked shots and a minus-7 rating through 17 appearances.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Lights lamp in loss

Bouchard scored a goal on six shots, blocked four shots, added two PIM and went minus-2 in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Lightning. Bouchard had been productive lately despite going seven games without a goal -- he has six assists in that span. His tally Saturday gave the Oilers a short-lived 4-3 lead before the Lightning surged to the finish line. The 24-year-old defenseman has four goals, 12 assists, 52 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 16 appearances. While the Oilers haven't been dialed in, their potential to get back to big scoring numbers leaves Bouchard as a strong fantasy option in virtually all formats.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Three helpers against Kraken

Bouchard notched three assists while adding one shot on net, two blocked shots, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over Seattle. It's the blueliner's first multi-point performance since Oct. 24, and his first such game of the season that wasn't boosted by any power-play production. Bouchard is building on the promise he showed over the last month-plus of the 2022-23 campaign, and through the first 15 games of the current campaign he's racked up three goals and 15 points -- approximately half of that production (one goal and six helpers) has come on the power play.

Bouchard notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Kraken. Bouchard set up the second of Zach Hyman's three goals in the game. This was Bouchard's third helper over the last four games. The defenseman is up to 12 points (seven on the power play) while adding 43 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 13 appearances this season.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Musters helper in loss

Bouchard notched an assist and five shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Sharks. Bouchard set up Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' tally late in the third period. This was Bouchard's second helper over the last three games. The 24-year-old defenseman is up to three tallies, eight assists, 41 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 12 contests overall. He led the Oilers with 26:38 of ice time Thursday, but his lackluster defense has been a point of concern with the team struggling early in the season.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Earns power-play helper

Bouchard logged a power-play assist, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Predators. Bouchard had gone three games without a power-play point, picking up one goal in that span. The defenseman has struggled in his own zone at times, as evidenced by a minus-6 rating, but he's driven offense from the back end, especially with the man advantage. The 24-year-old has 10 points (six on the power play), 35 shots on net and 14 blocked shots through 10 contests overall.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Scores third goal

Bouchard scored a goal on two shots in a 5-2 win over the Flames in Sunday's Heritage Classic. Bouchard now has three goals and five points in his last four contests, and he's up to nine points (three goals, six assists) through his first eight games this season. The 24-year-old blueliner is averaging 20:46 of ice time so far this year, including a career-high 4:12 on the power play. Bouchard's tallied 40 or more points in each of his last two seasons, a number he should easily eclipse if he continues to see similar usage in Edmonton.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Good for three points in Minnesota

Bouchard posted a goal with two assists in Tuesday's 7-4 loss against the Wild. Bouchard still managed a minus-3 rating thanks to a disastrous third period for the Oilers. He also chipped in with two blocked shots in 18:18 of ice time. The rearguard has managed at least one point in five of the six games to date. The three-point performance was his first since recording three assists in Winnipeg on March 4 last season. Locked into a spot on Edmonton's top pairing and first power-play unit, Bouchard appears poised to set new career highs across the board in 2023-24.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Deposits power-play goal

Bouchard scored a power-play goal on seven shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets. Bouchard's goal gave the Oilers a 2-0 lead at 6:11 of the first period. The 24-year-old's offense is right where it should be through five games -- he has a goal and four helpers, with all but one of those points coming on the power play. Bouchard also has a minus-5 rating, 19 shots on net, six blocked shots and two PIM while working in a top-four role and on the first power-play unit.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Record two assists in win

Bouchard recorded two assists and one shot in the Oilers' 6-1 win over the Predators on Tuesday. Bouchard picked up helpers on Zach Hyman's goal and Leon Draisaitl's second power-play marker. This performance gives the Canadian defenseman four points in three games this season. Bouchard should be amongst the league leaders in points for defensemen this season, quarterbacking the lethal Oilers' power play.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Produces power-play assist

Bouchard notched a power-play assist, five shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Canucks. Bouchard has a power-play helper in each of the Oilers' first two games. That aspect of the game hasn't been a problem for Edmonton, but the defense has been extremely leaky. Bouchard has a minus-4 rating and four blocked shots to go with 10 shots on goal and his two assists. He should continue to see top-four minutes and premium ice time with the team's biggest stars, but the peripheral numbers may continue to struggle if the Oilers' goaltending can't settle down.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Logs helper

Bouchard produced a power-play assist, five shots on goal, two blocked shots, two PIM and a minus-3 rating in Wednesday's 8-1 loss to the Canucks. Bouchard's role as the Oilers' power-play quarterback vaulted him up the draft board in most fantasy formats this year. While the Oilers' offense was quiet in their season opener, the lone goal in the loss came with the man advantage. Bouchard had 40 points in 82 contests last season, and 13 of them came on the power play. The 23-year-old blueliner should continue to be productive as a top-four option.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Re-signs with Oilers

Bouchard inked a two-year, $7.8 million contract with Edmonton on Thursday. Bouchard recorded eight goals, 40 points, 156 shots, 95 hits and 77 blocks in 82 contests last season. It was the second straight campaign in which he's reached the 40-point milestone, which makes the 23-year-old defenseman's $3.9 million cap hit look like great value for Edmonton, but the tradeoff is that it's a short-term deal. If Bouchard continues to develop like he has, then he'll be in line for a massive raise at the end of this contract.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Collects two assists

Bouchard notched two assists in a 4-3 loss to Vegas in Game 5 on Friday. Bouchard has been held off the scoresheet just once through 11 outings in the 2023 playoffs. Not only has he been consistent, but he's also recorded six multi-point contests in that span, bringing him up to four goals and 17 postseason points this year. With Darnell Nurse (suspension) unavailable, Bouchard logged 27:21 of ice time Friday, which was up from an average of 19:40 over the first four games of the series. Nurse is eligible to return Sunday.

Bouchard scored a power-play goal on three shots and added five hits in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Golden Knights in Game 4. Bouchard saw his 11-game, 18-point streak end Monday in Game 3, but he was right back on the scoresheet with the game-winning tally Wednesday. The defenseman is up to four goals and 11 helpers through 10 playoff contests, and 13 of his 15 points have come on the power play. He's added 22 shots on net, 21 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: One of each in Saturday's win

Bouchard scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Golden Knights in Game 2. Both of Bouchard's points came on the power play, as the Golden Knights' lack of discipline came back to bite them. The 23-year-old Bouchard has been one of the breakout stars of the postseason so far with at least one point in all eight of the Oilers' playoff games. He's picked up three goals, 11 helpers, 17 shots on net, 14 hits and an even plus-minus rating, and his role on the top power-play unit should keep him productive.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: No slowing down

Bouchard provided two power-play assists and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 6-4 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 1. Bouchard has gotten on the scoresheet in 10 straight games dating back to the regular season. In the playoffs, he's racked up two goals and 10 assists over seven outings, with 10 of his 12 points coming on the power play. The defenseman has added 15 shots on net, 13 hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-1 rating.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Nabs power-play helper

Bouchard logged a power-play assist and four hits in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Kings in Game 5. Bouchard took a shot that bounced off teammate Zach Hyman's face and into the net for the Oilers' fifth goal. Hyman was able to finish the game, so Bouchard won't have to feel too bad about the unconventional assist. With points in eight straight outings (four goals, eight assists), the 23-year-old defenseman has found another level to his game at just the right time. He also has 13 shots on net, 11 hits, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over five playoff contests.

Bouchard extended his scoring streak to seven contests, and he's collected four goals and 11 points in that span. That includes two goals and seven points in four playoff outings this year. Bouchard's latest marker was tallied on the power play early in the second period to narrow the Kings' lead to 3-1. He also supplied the lone assist on Zach Hyman's overtime winner.
