Young (illness) is questionable for Friday's tilt against the Bulls. Young has missed four straight games. He's not a regular part of the rotation when healthy.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Out again Wednesday
Young (illness) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. This is the fourth straight game on the sidelines for Young. He's usually on the fringe of the rotation, so his absence won't impact too many fantasy managers.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Ruled out Tuesday
Young (illness) will not play in Tuesday's game against Orlando. Young was previously considered doubtful. His absence is unlikely to impact the rotation, as he doesn't always see the floor for Toronto.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Unlikely to play Tuesday
Young (illness) is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Magic, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Young will likely miss a third straight game due to an illness. If that's the case, his next chance to suit up would come Wednesday in Indiana.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Remains out Sunday
Young (illness) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Pistons. Young will miss his second straight game Saturday due to a non-COVID illness. His next chance to suit up will be Tuesday's matchup with Orlando.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Dealing with illness
Young has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Celtics due to an illness, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Young wasn't listed on the initial injury report but won't play Friday due to an illness. The veteran's next chance to suit up will come Sunday versus Detroit. Young has mostly played in garbage time this season, so his absence shouldn't impact Toronto's rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Plays 15 minutes
Young accounted for two points (1-2 FG), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 15 minutes of Sunday's 112-99 preseason win over the Kings. Precious Achiuwa (groin) sat this one out, while Chris Boucher and Jalen McDaniels each had decent roles off the bench behind Pascal Siakam and Jakob Poeltl. Young still has plenty left in the tank, but he's not guaranteed a rotation spot to begin the 2023-24 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Officially cleared
Head coach Nick Nurse said Young (knee) is healthy and will be available Thursday versus the Pelicans, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Nurse previously said he expected Young to be available, but the veteran forward was still initially listed as questionable due to a left knee sprain he suffered in the team's final contest before the All-Star break. However, Young has officially been given the green light and should garner his usual backup role Thursday. Over his last five appearances, Young is averaging 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 18.0 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Now listed as questionable
Young (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday's matchup against the Pelicans, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports. Head coach Nick Nurse said earlier in the week that Young is expected to play Thursday, but the forward's status is apparently still in question. Before suffering a left knee sprain during Toronto's final game before the All-Star break, Young had averaged 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 18.0 minutes across his previous five appearances.... Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Expected to suit up Thursday
Coach Nick Nurse said Tuesday that Young (knee) is expected to play in Thursday's game versus the Pelicans, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports. Young returned to practice Tuesday after suffering a left knee sprain in the team's final game before the All-Star break. The veteran forward is averaging 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 18.0 minutes across his previous five outings.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Suffers knee strain
Young suffered a left knee strain and will not return Tuesday against Orlando, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports. The veteran forward finished with four points and one steal in seven minutes. The Raptors are off until Feb. 23, but it remains to be seen if Young will recover in time for that one. If he doesn't, Chris Boucher will likely see a slight bump in fantasy value off the bench.... Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Adds eight points off bench
Young ended with eight points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals across 24 minutes during Saturday's 106-104 loss to Boston. Young made the most of his chances off the bench by shooting 66.7 percent from the field. He also saw a sizeable uptick in playing time with OG Anunoby (ankle) exiting the contest early. Young isn't an enticing option for fantasy managers at this time, as he's averaging 3.6 points and 2.8 boards through five January appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Coming off bench
Young will return to a reserve role in Friday's game against the Nets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Young will come off the bench in favor of Christian Koloko. The veteran forward is averaging just 2.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 11.7 minutes in 16 games as a reserve this season.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Gets starting nod
Young is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Kings, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports. Young will replace Christian Koloko in the starting lineup Wednesday. Young has averaged 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 27.4 minutes across his eight starts this season.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Slides to bench
Young will come off the bench Friday versus the Nets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Young had started eight straight games for the Raptors, but his output in two of the last three left much to be desired. He'll appear off the bench Friday as a result, ceding his spot in the starting unit to Christian Koloko.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Has strong shooting night
Young recorded 18 points (9-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt), nine rebounds, four assists and four steals across 35 minutes during Saturday's 124-122 overtime loss to the Hawks. Young made the most of his opportunities from the field and fell just one rebound shy of his first double-double. The Georgia Tech product has started each of his team's last four matchups due to numerous injuries to Toronto's frontcourt, and he's scored in double figures in three of the four starts.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Another solid showing
Young posted 12 points (6-9 FG), eight rebounds and two assists over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 112-104 victory over the Heat. Young had started his team's last two contests heading into Wednesday, but he was just as effective off the bench in this one. He shot with efficiency from the field and missed his first double-double of the season by two rebounds. Young seems unlikely to provide this type of production going forward, however, as he's scored in double figures just twice through 13 games.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Turns back clock in start
Young notched 15 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and three steals across 34 minutes during Saturday's 118-104 loss to Indiana. Young moved into the starting lineup Saturday, and he took full advantage by delivering his best game of the season. He has now played at least 27 minutes in two of the past three games, indicating that a meaningful role could be his for the taking. As long as the Raptors are down on troops, Young is worth a look just in case he can string together a few strong performances.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Starting Saturday
Young will enter the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against the Pacers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports. Young replaces rookie Christian Koloko in the starting lineup as the Raptors opt for a more experienced lineup of Scottie Barnes, Gary Trent, OG Anunoby and Otto Porter with Fred VanVleet (illness) out. Considering VanVleet's absence, Young could receive a larger role within the Raptors offense and may even be tasked with minor ballhandling duties.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' Thaddeus Young: Rides pine in win
Young did not play in Toronto's 139-109 victory over Atlanta on Monday. Young picked up his third DNP-CD of the season Monday, a puzzling development after the 34-year-old re-signed with Toronto in the offseason. Young appears to have fallen out of favor on a deep, forward-rich Raptors' squad. It's a subtle storyline moving forward.... See More ... See Less

Michael Grange@michaelgrange1D agoSuper-fun game and a huge win for Raptors. They’ve already had some really big ones when it seemed like things were teetering — Bucks when 1-3; comeback vs. Wiz after getting smoked by Boston and tonight vs. Pacers after no-show in O-town. Not perfect but at least team responds.

Josh Lewenberg@JLew10501D agoDespite missing 3 free throws in the final 17 seconds (yikes!), Raptors pull it out. They went into Indiana and beat the Pacers at their own game. 132 points, 53% FG, 41% 3P. Fun game (26 lead changes!) and an impressive win coming off arguably their worst loss of the season.
