Robinson was sent to the G League on Thursday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Robinson saw increased run during Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers, as Bam Adebayo (hip) was out. The starting center is questionable again, and it's unclear if the organization plans to call Robinson back up if Adebayo sits.... See More ... See Less

Heat's Orlando Robinson: Shines in victory Wednesday
Robinson amassed 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 129-96 victory over the Cavaliers. Robinson played starter-level minutes off the bench in the blowout victory, outplaying fill-in starter Thomas Bryant. With Bam Adebayo (hip) sidelined, it was Robinson who took full advantage of the situation. While it does appear as though he is the third-string center right now, common sense says that he should usurp Bryant at some point. Until then, he can be left alone in all standard formats.... Heat's Orlando Robinson: Garbage time special Monday
Robinson totaled no counting stats in two minutes during Monday's 118-100 victory over the Bulls. Robinson played two minutes off the bench, tallying one foul and nothing else. Despite having a somewhat fantasy-friendly game, Robinson is simply too far down the pecking order to have any chance at putting up value this season.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Stuffs stat sheet off bench
Robinson recorded 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Monday's 122-114 loss to the Bucks. Robinson made the most of Bam Adebayo's absence due to a hip problem, and while he didn't start, he outplayed Thomas Bryant by a wide margin. The chances of Robinson playing heavy minutes going forward are slim and will be even more complicated once Adebayo returns to the court. But at the very least, Robinson showed enough to potentially steal some reserve minutes from Bryant going forward.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Struggles with efficiency
Robinson recorded seven points (2-7 FG, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one rebound in 16 minutes during Friday's 110-104 preseason loss to the Rockets. Robinson showcased his defensive potential Friday but struggled with his shooting. Robinson is expected to be the Heat's third-string center behind Bam Adebayo and Thomas Bryant this season.... Heat's Orlando Robinson: Shows out in Summer League
Robinson put up 27 points (10-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, six assists, three steals and a block over 30 minutes during Sunday's 104-78 win over the Trail Blazers. Robinson put together an impressive Summer League, and this game was no exception, leading the team in scoring, rebounds and assists. He appeared in 31 games during the 2022-23 season and will battle with Thomas Bryant for minutes off the bench this season.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Won't play Friday
Robinson (undisclosed) is out for Friday's Summer League game versus the Nuggets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Robinson had been one of Miami's standout performers in the Summer League but won't play Friday due to an undisclosed reason. The second-year big man made 31 appearances for the Heat in 2022-23.... Heat's Orlando Robinson: Dominant against Bucks
Robinson recorded 25 points (8-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 9-12 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Thursday's 91-72 Summer League win over the Bucks. Robinson has arguably been the most impressive player for the Heat during the Summer League. Robinson played on a two-way contract with Miami in 2022-23, but he was recently signed to a standard two-year deal and it's easy to see why. This season, Robinson will be competing with Thomas Bryant for the backup center minutes behind Bam Adebayo.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Dominant outing in Summer League
Robinson tallied 36 points (13-22 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 33 minutes during Saturday's 99-88 Summer League win over the Celtics. Robinson's well-rounded performance was the key to Miami's victory. He showed an ability to stretch the floor and score inside while not committing a single turnover. If he continues to shine during Summer League, Robinson, who averaged 13.7 minutes per game as a rookie last year, could carve out a larger reserve next season.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Signs standard contract
The Heat signed Robinson to a standard NBA contract Saturday to eliminate his two-way status, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The Heat had three open spots for minimum contracts and decided to use one of them in the big man, who averaged 3.7 points and 4.1 rebounds across 31 appearances during the 2022-23 season with the Heat while also featuring regularly for Sioux Falls in the G League. Plus, having Robinson on a standard deal allows the Heat to use their three two-way spots in Jamal Cain, Dru Smith and Jamaree Bouyea.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Hampered by foul trouble
Robinson posted eight points (2-5 FG, 2-3 3PT, 1-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block over 22 minutes of Thursday's 98-97 win over Stockton. Robinson was unable to make his usual impact Thursday, being held to single-digit points for the first time this season while also logging a season-low in minutes. The rookie center was pushed into foul trouble early on, picking up his second and third infractions in 41 seconds of second-quarter action.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Back to NBA
Miami elevated Robinson from the G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce on Tuesday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Per Winderman, Robinson participated in Miami's practice Tuesday, but it's unclear if he'll be available for Wednesday's matchup with New York. The undrafted rookie hasn't appeared in an NBA game since Feb. 15 and is averaging just 3.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 29 games (one start) this season.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Officially listed as probable
Robinson (thumb) is probable for Wednesday's game versus Indiana. Robinson is expected to play Wednesday despite missing the previous two games with a fractured right thumb, as the rookie big man was able to practice Tuesday. With Dewayne Dedmon being traded to San Antonio, Robinson will be the Heat's primary backup center.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Expects to play Wednesday
Robinson (thumb) said that he expects to be available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers after doctors cleared him to practice Tuesday, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Though the rookie center is still dealing with a fractured right thumb that has already cost him two games, he was apparently able to practice with limited protection on the broken finger and expressed optimism about his chances of playing through the injury moving forward. Assuming the Heat agree with Robinson's assessment of his health, the 22-year-old should settle back into the rotation Wednesday as the top backup to starter Bam Adebayo.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Likely out several weeks
Robinson is expected to miss several weeks after he sustained a fractured right thumb in Tuesday's 100-97 win over the Cavaliers, but the Heat haven't yet provided an official timeline for his return, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Though Robinson suggested Thursday when he spoke to the media that he thinks he would be able to play through the injury with a splint, but the Heat won't entertain that idea until he meets with a specialist when the team returns to Miami following its four-game road trip, which concludes Saturday in Milwaukee. Based on timelines of players who have suffered this type of injury in the past, Robinson could be facing an absence of around one month, which would keep him sidelined through the All-Star break and likely a few games to open the second half. While Robinson was sidelined for Thursday's 106-104 loss to the Knicks, Udonis Haslem drew the nod over Dewayne Dedmon for the backup center role behind starter Bam Adebayo.... See More ... Heat's Orlando Robinson: Returns to reserve role
Robinson will come off the bench Thursday against the Bucks. With Bam Adebayo (wrist) returning to action Thursday, and Dewayne Dedmon suspended, Robinson will return to his reserve role. After a strong performance in his first career start Tuesday, the center could see quality minutes in relief of Adebayo against the Bucks.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Quiet night in first career start
Robinson finished with four points (2-2 FG), six rebounds, one block and one steal over 24 minutes during Tuesday's 112-111 win over the Thunder. Robinson received his first career start in place of Bam Adebayo (wrist), seeing a quiet night in limited time. Robinson finished second among Heat starters in rebounds and has now hauled in five or more boards in six games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Making first NBA start
Robinson is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Thunder. Robinson will start in place of Bam Adebayo (wrist) on Tuesday. He will make the first start of his NBA career.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Impresses off bench Monday
Robinson accumulated 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Monday's 113-110 victory over the Timberwolves. With the Heat's top three centers in Bam Adebayo (illness), Dewayne Dedmon (foot) and Omer Yurtseven (ankle) sidelined, rookie Nikola Jovic entered the starting unit, but it was Robinson who ended up serving as the team's primary pivot in the frontcourt. The undrafted rookie out of Fresno State didn't disappoint, and he's now showcased a fantasy-friendly skill set on each of the three occasions this season he's played extended minutes. While the type of production Robinson provided Monday would normally warrant a pickup, both Adebayo and Dedmon's absences are believed to be short-term in nature. If Adebayo and Dedmon are both available Wednesday against the Lakers, Robinson could end up finding himself back outside of the rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Heat's Orlando Robinson: Gets green light Saturday
Robinson (back) will be available for Saturday's game versus the Spurs. Robinson should provide some additional frontcourt depth Saturday, but he's unlikely to see anywhere near the 36 minutes he logged against the Rockets last game, with Bam Adebayo cleared to play and Dewayne Dedmon (foot) also expected to suit up....
