Player Outlook
We like Lockett as a No. 3 receiver worth a pick in Round 7 this year. Once again, he'll probably beat our expectations. The 31-year-old has new target competition in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but he also has four consecutive years with at least 1,000 yards and five straight years with eight or more touchdowns. Among players with at least 700 career targets, Locket's 9.6 yards per target ranks fourth, behind only DeSean Jackson, Rob Gronkowski, and Julio Jones. Lockett's aDOT has fluctuated wildly the past four years, ranging from 9.7 in 2020 to 14.6 in 2021 back down to 10.6 last year. With Smith-Njigba likely working more in the slot, it could balloon again this year, leading to fewer catches but more big plays.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Quiet night in Week 12 loss

Lockett secured three of five targets for 30 yards in the Seahawks' 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thursday. Lockett tied DK Metcalf with the team lead in receptions while checking in second in targets. The speedy veteran also had the ball taken from him by the 49ers' Ambry Thomas for Geno Smith's one interception of the night, and his yardage total was his lowest since Week 1. It doesn't get any easier for the Seahawks offense in Week 13, as they face the Cowboys on the road in a Thursday night matchup.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Full participant Tuesday

Lockett (hamstring) was a full participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. Lockett has been a regular on Seattle's injury report for the last six weeks with a hamstring issue. His full participation Tuesday indicates he is on track to suit up for Thursday's matchup with the 49ers. The veteran pass catcher recorded five receptions on seven targets for 51 yards on a season-low 57 percent of his team's offensive snaps in the Seahawks' Week 11 loss to the Rams.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Remains limited by hamstring

Lockett (hamstring) was listed as limited on Monday's estimated practice report, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. As he has for six weeks in a row now, Lockett is dealing with a hamstring injury as the Seahawks prep for a game. Last week, he didn't practice at all but was able to suit up Sunday at the Rams, gathering in five of seven targets for 51 yards while playing a season-low 57 percent of his team's offensive snaps. Seattle likely will take it easy on Lockett this week, too, and Wednesday's injury report will reveal whether or not he has an injury designation ahead of Thursday's contest versus the 49ers.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Gains 51 yards in loss

Lockett (hamstring) finished with five receptions on seven targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Rams. Lockett has been dealing with a bum hamstring for several weeks, but his status appeared to truly be questionable leading up to Sunday's eventual start. The Seattle stalwart wound up providing an average fantasy line for managers who rolled the dice on his health. Lockett completed Sunday's contest without any setbacks, but it wouldn't be surprising to see his name remain on the injury report for the upcoming short practice week leading up to Thursday's matchup against the 49ers.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Active in Week 11

Lockett (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday at the Rams. For five weeks running, Lockett has been impacted by a lingering hamstring injury, which didn't allow him to practice at all during Week 11 prep. A questionable designation for Sunday's game followed, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday that Lockett was in line to suit up. With his availability now confirmed, Lockett will be looking to improve upon his 2-10-0 line on four targets that he put up against L.A.'s defense back in the season opener.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Likely to play against Rams

Lockett (hamstring) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Lockett missed all three practices this week, and while the veteran receiver isn't someone who needs to practice in order to play on Sundays, it's fair to wonder how close to 100 percent he might be leading up to the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Assuming he avoids the inactive list, Lockett should start Sunday, but he may end up facing more limitations with his snap count than usual. If that's the case, DK Metcalf and rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba could be needed to absorb some extra targets.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Appears truly questionable

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll suggested Friday that Lockett (hamstring) is truly questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Lockett was listed as questionable with the same injury three weeks ago, when he put up an 8-81-1 line on Cleveland's top-notch secondary. He then avoided a game designation the past two weeks, but it sounds like his status is up in the air this time around after being held out of practice three days in a row. Carroll mentioned that the wide receiver did some running Friday and told reporters that he'll take things day by day with Lockett ahead of a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday. A matchup with the division-leading 49ers four days later also could be a factor here, though losing to the Rams on Sunday would make it tough for the Seahawks to win any NFC West tiebreakers unless they win both of their games against the 49ers over the ensuing three weeks. Seattle has a brutal stretch of games after Sunday, facing the Niners, Cowboys, Niners and Eagles over the following four contests.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Questionable for Sunday

Lockett (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Listed on Seattle's injury reports for the past month, Lockett will enter the weekend with a designation for the second time. The first time was Week 8, when he ended up catching eight passes for 81 yards and a touchdown against an excellent Cleveland secondary. He seems more likely than not to play at this point, though an upcoming Thursday matchup with San Francisco in Week 12 could perhaps inspire the Seahawks to be more cautious than normal.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Doesn't practice again Thursday

Lockett (hamstring) was a non-participant at practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. During his five-week stretch dealing with a hamstring issue, Lockett previously sat out the first two sessions of Week 8 prep before capping it with a full practice and a questionable designation ahead of game day. This week, he also has yet to practice, so he may be destined for a similar fate. Friday's injury report will unveil his potential to suit up for Sunday's road game against the Rams.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Lockett (hamstring) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. For a fifth consecutive week, the Seahawks are placing some practice restrictions on Lockett due to a lingering hamstring issue. The injury hasn't stopped him from suiting up on game days, as he's put together a 23-243-2 receiving line on 32 targets over the last four contests. Lockett will have two more opportunities this week to get back to full activity before the team potentially gives him a designation for Sunday's road matchup with the Rams.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Cashes in fourth TD Sunday

Lockett (hamstring) had eight receptions on 10 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-26 win over the Commanders. Lockett powered through his lingering hamstring injury to post one of his better receiving lines of the season Sunday. The veteran's eight receptions and 10 targets both matched his previous highs in each category this season, as his usage did not decrease despite playing at less than 100 percent in recent weeks. Lockett's 46-494-4 receiving line through nine starts should be enough to earn a spot in most lineups when the Seahawks visit the Rams next Sunday.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Sleeper WRs

All three of the top Seattle receivers are in play this week against the Commanders, who are No. 4 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. I have them ranked DK Metcalf, Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but I like all three as starters in three-receiver leagues. Lockett has at least eight targets in three of his past four games, and he scored at least 15.4 PPR points in two of them. Metcalf hasn't scored since Week 4 and has fewer than 12 PPR points in three games in a row, but he has the most upside of this trio. And Smith-Njigba has three games in a row with at least 12.3 PPR points, with two of those games with seven targets. Washington has allowed nine receivers to score at least 14.8 PPR points this season, including three sets of duos to reach that total in the same game (Brandon Johnson and Marvin Mims in Week 2, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in Week 4 and Brown and Smith in Week 8). Don't be surprised if two Seahawks go off in Week 10.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Logs full practice Thursday

Lockett (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. After logging a limited session Wednesday due to his lingering hamstring issue, Lockett was back to full activity one day later. The hamstring injury has affected Lockett's practice participation since Week 7, but he has yet to miss any games and is on track to suit up again this Sunday versus the Commanders.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Little production on eight targets

Lockett recorded three catches on eight targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 37-3 loss to the Ravens. Lockett was the most-targeted wide receiver in Seattle's offense, though his lack of production was indicative of the team's overall struggles. His biggest play of the day came on his first target, which went for an 18-yard gain. Lockett entered Sunday with more than 80 receiving yards in two of his previous three games, though he has also now been held under 40 yards in four of eight contests.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Sits out Wednesday's practice

Lockett (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Dating back to Week 7 prep, Lockett now has been listed as a non-participant on four of the Seahawks' last five injury reports due to a hamstring issue, but it hasn't stopped him from suiting up the last two contests on his way to 12 catches (on 14 targets) for 119 yards and one touchdown. He may follow a similar practice pattern until his hamstring is back to 100 percent, but his availability for game days doesn't appear to be in much question.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Finds end zone in victory

Lockett recorded eight receptions on nine targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Browns. Lockett's nine targets were surprisingly his second-highest total of the season, which allowed him to top 80 yards in a game for as many times on the campaign -- both of which came in his last three games. The highlight of his performance came on a 12-yard touchdown reception midway through the second quarter, his first time in the end zone since Week 2. When possible, the Seahawks try to run an offense centered on the ground game, which has served to limit Lockett's volume and production through seven contests. However, his performance Sunday showed that when Seattle is chasing points or in a tight game, Lockett is still capable of delivering solid fantasy performances.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Suiting up in Week 8

Lockett (hamstring) is listed as active Sunday versus the Browns. Lockett was able to play through a hamstring injury Week 7 when DK Metcalf was inactive due to rib and hip issues. After opening Week 8 prep with back-to-back missed practices because of the lingering health concern, Lockett capped it with a full session, and while the wide receiver was listed as questionable for Sunday's contest, coach Pete Carroll told Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times on Friday that Lockett was in line to play this weekend. Indeed, that has come to pass, but Lockett may have a tough time producing against a Cleveland defense that has allowed an NFL-low 47.9 percent catch rate and just three touchdowns to wide receivers in six games this season.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: In line to play Sunday

Lockett (hamstring) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Browns, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Lockett, who is officially listed as questionable, practiced in full Friday and looks on track to suit up Week 8. The veteran wideout's status will be made official when Seattle releases its inactive list roughly 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. Meanwhile, the Seahawks already have DK Metcalf back on the field after he missed Week 7 win over Arizona with rib and hip injuries.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: On track to play

Lockett (hamstring) was a full practice participant Friday after being listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. According to Condotta, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Lockett made it through practice without any issues and is expected to be active ahead of a 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday. The wide receiver didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but his absences may have been more so out of a matter of caution than a result of him not being healthy enough to participate. Still, cautious fantasy managers will want to check back in Sunday to make sure Lockett is active for his matchup with a tough Cleveland secondary.
