Player Outlook
Prescott remains a No. 1 Fantasy quarterback, and he's worth drafting with a mid-round pick in one-quarterback leagues. In Superflex and two-quarterback leagues, Prescott is worth drafting in Round 2. There are some Fantasy managers concerned about Prescott with the loss of offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, especially after coach Mike McCarthy initially said he wanted the Cowboys to run more and lean on their defense. But McCarthy has since clarified that statement, and Prescott should continue to post quality stats. His weapons have changed this offseason with the loss of tight end Dalton Schultz and the addition of receiver Brandin Cooks, and Prescott still has CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup. Dallas also lost Ezekiel Elliott, which could give Prescott more scoring opportunities near the goal line. The nice thing about Prescott is you can wait for him on Draft Day, and he has five seasons in a row of averaging at least 20.3 Fantasy points per game, including three seasons of more than 24.5 points per game over that span. While he might not post elite stats like the top-tier Fantasy quarterbacks, he can still help you win a Fantasy title in 2023.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Paces Thanksgiving win

Prescott completed 22 of 32 passes for 331 yards and four touchdowns in Thursday's 45-10 rout of the Commanders. He added 10 rushing yards on his only carry. Prescott spread the ball around almost at will against an overmatched Washington defense, completing passes to 10 different receivers and blowing the game open in the fourth quarter with a 15-yard TD strike to CeeDee Lamb and a 34-yard toss to KaVontae Turpin. Prescott has been the hottest QB in the league since the Cowboys' Week 7 bye, and over the last five weeks he's posted a 17:2 TD:INT while averaging 320.4 passing yards a game with a 70.5 percent completion rate and an 8.9 YPA. He'll look to keep rolling at home in Week 13 against the Seahawks.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Passes for pair of TDs

Prescott completed 25 of 38 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 33-10 win over the Panthers. Prescott's pair of scores both came in the first half, as he found tight end Luke Schoonmaker from 18 yards before connecting with star wideout CeeDee Lamb from five. Although his streak of three-touchdown efforts was snapped at three games, Prescott still did enough to lead the Cowboys to another convincing victory. He'll now turn his attention toward Thursday's game against the Commanders in Week 12.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Torches Giants for five TDs

Prescott completed 26 of 35 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns with one interception while adding 17 rushing yards and a touchdown on two carries in Sunday's 49-17 rout of the Giants. The quarterback got the entire fourth quarter off and still posted massive numbers, with Prescott hitting Jake Ferguson, Brandin Cooks, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb for TDs while also running in a 10-yard score himself just before halftime. Prescott has been on an absolute tear since Dallas' Week 7 bye, racking up 1,082 passing yards and an 11:2 TD:INT over the last three games, but he could slow down a bit in Week 11 against a Panthers defense that's been surprisingly stingy against the pass this season.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Huge day in losing effort

Prescott completed 29 of 44 passes for 374 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Eagles. He also gained 14 rushing yards on six carries. After a three-and-out on the Cowboys' first drive, Prescott was locked in the rest of the way and posted his highest yardage total since he lit the Patriots up for 445 yards in Week 6 of the 2021 season. He and the Cowboys had plenty of chances to steal a win in Philadelphia but missed by inches -- Luke Schoonmaker was judged to be just short of the goal line early in the fourth quarter for what would have been Prescott's fourth TD of the day, and the QB himself stepped out of bounds on a two-point conversion attempt later in the final frame that would have resulted in Dallas needing only a field goal to tie it on their last possession. Prescott has a 7:1 TD:INT and 678 passing yards over the last two weeks, but he likely won't need to be as busy in Week 10 against a Giants team the Cowboys already routed once this season.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: QBs to Start

The last time Prescott played at Philadelphia was Week 18 of the 2021 season, and he was 21-of-27 passing for 295 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. He's not coming close to that this week, but the Eagles defense has given up some huge games to quarterbacks this season, including Mac Jones in Week 1 (30.1 Fantasy points), Kirk Cousins in Week 2 (36.6) and Sam Howell in Week 8 (38.9). In total, five quarterbacks have scored at least 20.9 Fantasy points against Philadelphia, and Prescott is coming off his best game of the season in Week 8 against the Rams with 36.1 Fantasy points. I'll stick with Prescott this week as a top-10 quarterback in all leagues.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Four touchdowns, tops 300 yards

Prescott completed 25 of 31 passes for 304 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 43-20 win over the Rams. The Cowboys came out with an aggressive game plan, as Prescott had three touchdowns and 225 yards at halftime. His scores came from 18, 10, 22 and 25 yards away and were distributed to three different pass catchers. Prescott also completed five passes of more than 20 yards -- his highest mark of the year -- leading to his first 300-yard passing performance of the campaign. He and the Cowboys will look to continue their offensive heroics in an intra-division showdown with the Eagles in Week 9.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Bust Candidate (Lineup Decisions)

Prescott is a total wild-card. He's rarely put up good numbers and the Rams haven't let up good numbers often, so that's cause for concern. His pass protection will be in question and we might have to hope for some damage on the ground to help Prescott topple 20 Fantasy points. He's a low-end QB1 who I'd sit for Jared Goff, Kirk Cousins and Joe Burrow but start over Brock Purdy and Geno Smith.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Prescott is coming off his best game of the season in Week 6 at the Chargers with 26.9 Fantasy points, and hopefully he's about to get hot. He's been amazing in his career after a bye, averaging 26.9 Fantasy points in six games after a break, and only once has he failed to score at least 22.9 points after a bye over that span. We'll see if he can stay successful this week against the Rams, who have allowed just two quarterbacks (Anthony Richardson and Jalen Hurts) to score more than 15.2 Fantasy points this season. But I'm hopeful Prescott's history after a bye and his recent outing against the Chargers will help him finish as a borderline No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in all leagues for Week 8.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Bounces back in Week 6 win

Prescott completed 21 of 30 passes for 272 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Cowboys' 20-17 win over the Chargers on Monday. He also rushed seven times for 40 yards and another score. Prescott shook off the sting of a three-interception tally Week 5 against the fearsome 49ers defense to put together a season-high passing yardage total. The veteran signal-caller also posted a season-best rushing yardage tally while recording his first regular-season touchdown on the ground since Week 8 of last season on an 18-yard run in the first quarter. Prescott led a game-winning, 14-play drive late in the fourth quarter, a march that was preceded by a two-yard touchdown pass to Brandin Cooks earlier in the period. Prescott heads into the Week 7 bye with some momentum and will next face the Rams in a Week 8 home matchup on Sunday, Oct. 29.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sleeper QBs

It will take some guts to start Prescott in one-quarterback leagues after the way he played at San Francisco in Week 5 with just 153 passing yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. And he's scored 16.4 Fantasy points or less in all but one game this season. But this is a good bounce-back spot for Prescott against the Chargers, who are No. 4 in most Fantasy points per game allowed to opposing quarterbacks at 24.4 points. Only Aiden O'Connell subbing for an injured Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 4 failed to score at least 23 Fantasy points against the Chargers this season, and Prescott should be considered a borderline No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in this matchup on Monday night.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sit Him (Lineup Decisions)

Trusting Prescott is a tall task, even in what looks like a favorable matchup. The Cowboys might pivot to a slower approach with Tony Pollard handling the run game more than he has been over the past couple of games. That could take pressure off of Prescott, but it doesn't mean he'll unload statistically. I'd rather start Sam Howell, Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Throws three INTs in blowout loss

Prescott completed 14 of 24 pass attempts for 153 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in Sunday's 42-10 loss to the 49ers. He added one carry for two yards. San Francisco's vaunted defense gave Prescott fits all game long, sacking the quarterback three times and forcing three interceptions in Sunday's one-sided affair, although two of the picks came in the fourth quarter when Dallas was in desperation mode. Prescott was inaccurate when given time in the pocket, airmailing an open Luke Schoonmaker on a third-down pass in the first half before leading Brandin Cooks out of bounds on a deep shot later in the contest. The 30-year-old had done a good job of protecting the ball with just one turnover over his four previous starts, so its fair to write this off as a down game against a tough opponent. Prescott has yet to throw for 300 yards in any game this season, but that could change with a potential bounce-back performance against the Chargers' league-worst pass defense next Monday.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: QBs to Sit

Prescott has scored 16.4 Fantasy points or less in three of four games this season, and it's hard to trust him in one-quarterback leagues at San Francisco. While the 49ers did allow Joshua Dobbs to score 27.4 Fantasy points in Week 4, the previous three quarterbacks against San Francisco (Kenny Pickett, Matthew Stafford and Daniel Jones) combined for just 31.8 points. Granted, that's not exactly the most stellar list of opponents, but Prescott has been underwhelming this season with his production. He also has offensive line concerns with left tackle Tyron Smith (knee) and right guard Zack Martin (quad) at less than 100 percent. I would only start Prescott in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues in Week 5.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Bounces back against Patriots

Prescott completed 28 of 34 passes for 261 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Patriots. Coming off of a disappointing Week 3 performance, Prescott bounced back to carve up the New England defense with an efficient effort. His overall numbers were ultimately limited due to the blowout nature of the game and because Dallas managed two defensive touchdowns. Though it was a positive outcome for his team, Prescott now has only one multi-touchdown performance through four contests this season, and he'll face a tough 49ers defense in Week 5.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sit Him (Lineup Decisions)

I don't mind starting Prescott IF his offensive line is healthy. However, that includes his left tackle, and Tyron Smith isn't going to play -- the interior guys might. Repeat, MIGHT. Prescott's at his best when he's protected and the Patriots will attack him if they think they can get to him easily. I have Geno Smith, Russell Wilson, Anthony Richardson and Justin Fields ranked ahead of Prescott.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

Prescott has been under 17 Fantasy points in two of three games this season, and he's coming off a disappointing performance in Week 3 at Arizona when he was 25-of-40 for 249 yards, one touchdown and one interception, along with 24 rushing yards. His offensive line is banged up, which is an issue, and Prescott isn't worth trusting in one-quarterback leagues against the Patriots, who have yet to allow a quarterback to throw for 250 yards this season. Jalen Hurts (14.5 Fantasy points) and Tua Tagovailoa (14.3 points) were both held in check by New England, and Prescott will probably struggle again in this matchup as well.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Frustrating day in Arizona

Prescott completed 25 of 40 passes for 249 yards and one touchdown with one interception in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Cardinals. He added 24 rushing yards on three carries. Working behind an offensive line missing three starters, including Zack Martin (ankle), Prescott and the Cowboys were able to move the ball but couldn't cash in when they got to the red zone, managing only one TD on five trips inside the 20. Prescott's first INT of the season also came from the Arizona six-yard line late in the fourth quarter, ending Dallas' final comeback attempt. He'll try to bounce back in Week 4 at home against a stingy Patriots defense that has yet to allow a quarterback to throw for 250 against it this season.

  • Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Sleeper QBs

The reason Prescott isn't considered a slam-dunk starter this week is the potential for another Cowboys blowout at Arizona. The Cowboys have already trounced the Giants and Jets in two games by a combined 70-10, but Prescott was still successful in Week 2 against the Jets for 23.6 Fantasy points. Now, he also scored just 6.3 points in Week 1 against the Giants, so keep that in mind, but the Cardinals just placed standout safety Budda Baker (hamstring) on injured reserve. And Daniel Jones also had 37.4 Fantasy points against Arizona in Week 2. I'd use Prescott as a low-end No. 1 Fantasy quarterback in Week 3.
